Andrea Hawkes is a contemporary, British wedding dress designer based in London, specialising in modern, simplistic bridal designs. All the collections are crafted with fit and precision, made using natural silk fabrics, beautiful French lace and delicate beading and sequins.
Andrea’s bridal experience began in a role at a bridal boutique, seeing many different brides. This experience led her into different roles within bridal, where she gained a wealth of experience, both with the brides individual journey and the technical understanding of couture wedding dresses.
During this time she discovered many brides unable to find a contemporary, simplistic, tailored dress made from beautiful fabrics. This initiated her designing and her ethos, simplifying the bridal experience, whilst offering an honest approach to having your wedding dress made.
Andrea Hawkes’ dresses are entirely designed and made in London by her own team. This has been of central importance since her beginning and an ever more key factor as she has grown and developed. She has built a strong, trusted team, with the skills to produce the quality and service she had always set out to deliver to her brides.
This paired with the importance of fabrics, where she always wanted to create dresses using natural silks. The Andrea Hawkes team have developed their fabrics working with silk mills they have visited and created good understanding and relationships with.
Being a wedding dress designer with extensive experience with brides-to-be, appreciation for fashion, design and garment fit is extremely important. It is the expertise, to understand garments and how they fit the individual.
