Behind the brand.

Get to know Juliette.

Juliette was born in Bridport, Dorset, to a British mother & a French father, spending her early childhood years in Britanny & Dorset. Despite living in Windsor for the past 22 years, Juliette still considers herself a west-country girl at heart. She's just celebrated 20 years of marriage to Ian, having married in Lincoln Cathedral in 2001, where she walked down the aisle in a Ritva Westenius strapless gown. Even back then, walking down the aisle in a British-made dress was really important to Juliette.

Juliette is mum to two spirited teenagers, Max & Daisy and spends her downtime walking Luna, the family dog, playing tennis, spinning on her road bike, singing in a community choir & loves nothing more than a Sunday roast, with all the trimmings, with family, friends & a good glass of red

Juliette isn’t new to retail, in fact her retail career has spanned 25 years across leading High Street names in both Commercial & Product Development leadership roles.

She first launched the idea of the Bridal Gallery back in 2016, creating her vision for the brand during a career spent in fashion & business. Graduating in International Business & French from university, she went on to study at the London College of Fashion, filling in the gaps which enabled her to begin a career in fashion buying. She went on to become senior womenswear buyer at a leading British retailer, where she spent a number of years working across key fashion categories, developing an intimate understanding of fabrics, fit & manufacturing processes & techniques before moving into leadership roles.

Without hesitation, Juliette describes this as ‘one of the best jobs in the world’.

After having her family, Juliette swapped fashion for food & moved into product innovation at Waitrose, heading up the product development team.

Juliette’s unique skills mean that she is well placed in retail. She interprets market trends, works collaboratively with her designers & listens carefully to her customers, all of which enable her to deliver outstanding customer service to give her brides what they want.

In launching The Bridal Gallery, Juliette has some key principles which are reflected in the brand:

  • Understated elegance & affordable luxury: luxury wedding dresses often come with eye-watering price tags & Juliette has worked hard to bring you luxury within an affordable price range

  • Championing British craftsmanship – celebrating our island’s heritage in textiles & fashion design. All of the designers at The Bridal Gallery are British & the gowns themselves are all hand-made in Britain

  • Sustainability: re-wear / re-use, vintage & rental are all possibilities at The Bridal Gallery

  • A personalised approach: virtual appointments to get to know you before you come in mean that Juliette will pre-select & edit from her entire range to meet your needs & anything (well, almost anything) is possible – you love the dress but want a longer sleeve? Neckline a little lower? Hem a little longer? Let’s talk it through & find out what’s possible

  • Community & keeping it local: if you’re marrying in the Windsor area, Juliette has a little black book of carefully selected, high-quality wedding suppliers to help make planning your wedding day just that little bit easier

  • Giving back: in a world where inequalities have never felt greater, Juliette believes it’s her personal responsibility to give back which is why she has chosen to donate a portion of her sales to charity

Finally, Juliette has one very simple philosophy: she would rather not sell a dress at all than sell a bride the wrong dress.
